At Yorkshire Trike Tours we are committed to making every effort to ensure our customers are able to enjoy the joyful sensation of riding in comfort and safety on our motorised Boom trike. So many of our guests tell us that the wind in their hair, the feeling of exhilaration and the sense of wellbeing and freedom from everyday life, that a tour on the trike gives them, plus the memories it can bring, provides an amazing experience.

The only restrictions we have on the trike are passengers must be over 12 years old, be more than five feet tall, both passengers cannot not weigh more than 34 stone (476 lbs or 216 kg) altogether and each needs to measure less than 45 inches(ish) around the biggest part of their tummy! These restrictions are dictated either by our insurance and licensing conditions or by the structure of the trikes. They are highly specialised machines that need tender loving care, just like our guests! Other than that, we truly believe that the experience we can offer will give a fantastic sense of freedom to ANYONE, but especially someone living with a long term physical or mental illness, or who has a mobility, visual, hearing or intellectual impairment.

If we can make you comfortable on board, we will be delighted to take you on tour. Our motto: See, feel & experience the Yorkshire Dales like you have never done before, being chauffeur driven on our three seater Boom trike.

We are always keen to talk to customers and see how we can make a tour possible and able to fit in with individual needs. It can sometimes take a little longer to arrange, but we will do our utmost to find a solution in order to give you your perfect day out in the Dales. If you live within the region and would like to meet up with the trike, to check you would be comfortable and confident, BEFORE booking a tour, we will try our very best to organise it for you.

Should you be less mobile, need help to get on and off the trike or transfer from a wheelchair, we only ask that you bring a family member or friend with you, to help: someone who is familiar with the best way to get you on and off. Our driver will be happy to assist, under instruction from you, although they do not hold certificates for lifting! Where there is a will, there is usually a way! We make frequent comfort breaks and have a Radar key to ensure facilities are appropriate for our guests and we endeavour to use refreshment locations that are fully accessible. We are a Dementia Friendly company and our staff have all been trained by the Alzheimers Society.

See, feel & experience the Yorkshire Dales like never before.

Our excellent holiday in the Yorkshire Dales at The Dairy in Newbiggin, was raised further by my wife treating me to a Yorkshire Dales Trike tour as a birthday present from a leaflet provided by Cottage in the Dales in our Arrival Pack. I don't get out a great deal locally unless I use my mobility scooter which is commented on by local children, dog walkers and passers-by, but just the view of Jason’s fantastic trike just blew me away. It is like my scooter on steroids!

Jason and his good lady Judith rediscovered their lives after being inspired by Billy Connolly’s World Tour of England. They purchased a low rider trike to enjoy the local scenery. Jason doesn't immediately strike you as someone who might me hospitable, generous or gentle as first impression is a ‘Hairy Biker/Hells Angel’ type but the truth could not be further away. Jason's courteous understanding of customers’ needs combined with his unchallenged knowledge of the Yorkshire Dales, together with the generosity with which he showed us the sights and experiences we just could not have seen in any other way. Jason is a credit to God’s Own County.

Marian loves to walk but because of my physical restrictions with MS I am normally either driving or watching from afar, so the ability to experience and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales together was amazing. Jason's constant commentary describing the hills and dales and historic events, displays a deep knowledge of his beloved countryside. All around the tour, which took over two hours, we were waved to by people who obviously recognised Jason and his trike. We can see he is a beloved part of the scenery and I, for one, would encourage anyone who has not tried this way to see the Yorkshire Dales to put aside their inhibitions and get on board.
